Overview

Amridata ("we", "our", "us") operates the website at amridata.com. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. We've written it to be readable, not exhaustive.

What data we collect

Account data

If you register, we store your name, email address, and a bcrypt-hashed password. We never store your plain-text password.

Uploaded files

Files you upload are stored on our servers and used only to provide the analysis, chart, and insight features. We do not read, sell, or share your data.

Usage data

We log standard server access logs (IP address, request path, browser, timestamp) for security and performance monitoring. These are not sold to third parties.

Contact messages

If you use the contact form, we store your name, email, subject, and message.

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. See our Cookie Policy for details.

How we use your data

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your uploaded data for training AI models. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

AI features and your data

When you use AI Data Chat or AI Insights, Amridata sends a structured dataset summary (column names, types, statistics, and sample values) plus a small sample of up to five rows to a third-party AI API (currently Google Gemini). The full dataset is not sent.

The AI API key is stored server-side only and is never exposed to your browser. AI requests and responses are processed through our server. Data sent to the AI provider is also subject to that provider's applicable API terms and privacy practices.

Data retention

Account data

Retained while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of account deletion request.

Uploaded files (Try Free)

Deleted after your session ends or within 24 hours, whichever comes first.

Uploaded files (Free Account)

Deleted 30 days after last access, or immediately on your request.

Server logs

Retained for up to 90 days for security and debugging purposes.

Your rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have rights including: access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion of your data, and data portability.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us. We will respond within 30 days.

Security

We use HTTPS for all connections, bcrypt password hashing, CSRF protection on all forms, prepared statements for all database queries, and regular security reviews. See our Security page for more detail.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated to registered users by email. Continued use of Amridata after a policy change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
